During our Campus4Life registration drive at Lohmeyerplatz and in the Beitzplatz cafeteria, we were able to recruit 78 new stem cell donors. The campaign took place in bright sunshine as part of the University Information Days and was held in light of World Blood Cancer Day, which is observed annually on May 28 to raise awareness in the fight against blood cancer.
Many students and cafeteria visitors took the opportunity to learn about stem cell donation before their lunch break or while enjoying the sunshine after eating, and registered directly on site.
By registering, the new donors are now available for worldwide matching with patients suffering from blood cancer, sending a strong message of solidarity and hope. 🫶🩸
